Our story so far
We are a select professional networking group who are focused on growing our individual businesses, and believe that business referrals are generated and exchanged based on trust and reputation and not numbers on a scorecard. Our referrals are made through individual deep business connections that are valued by our members and handled with care. We provide a structured and supportive environment for our members to network and seek business opportunities.
The North East Referral Network (NERN) evolved from a small group that gathered once a month for effectively a coffee and a catch up, which was fine, but delivered very little, if any outcomes. Our existing Chair and Vice Chair occasionally attended this group and saw some potential and volunteered to take it forward on the proviso that there would be some measurable benefits for the members under the new structure, and hence NERN was born. The group is keen to continue to develop under the guidance of all the members so long as generating referrals remains the primary focus of the group.
Our vision is to create value for our members by extending the range of professional contacts and potential customers available to them through the group members’ network of trusted contacts. The intention of this group is to create value for our customers, our network and our members and to create and benefit from opportunities that would otherwise not be available outside the group.
